Report your claim and wait for our team to approve it. If your phone can be repaired, our partner takes care of it and Lovys covers the shipping. If it can't be repaired, for example after a covered theft, we send you a replacement phone. As their legal guardian, you can take out smartphone insurance for your child under 18. You can't take it out for anyone else: the contract must be in the name of the phone's owner and user.
Activation takes 3 steps in the app: enter your phone's IMEI number, do a quick touchscreen test and film both sides of the device to confirm its overall condition.
There's no cover limit: you're reimbursed whatever the cost of the repair. An excess of €50 to €90 applies, depending on the insured model.
You report it directly in the app or your client space. For theft: a police report, proof that your SIM card was blocked, the purchase invoice and an ID document, to send within 3 days. For breakage: we ask for a video of the device. For water damage: you have 5 days to report the claim.
Smartphone insurance has a 15-day waiting period. During that time, your phone can't be repaired or replaced. Activate your insurance in the Lovys app so you're covered as soon as it ends.
Yes, your phone is protected worldwide. The only condition is that your main residence is in Portugal. If you make a claim, the repair is done in Portugal and the replacement phone is sent there.
